Finding a babysitter is almost as challenging as finding an early childhood education program for some families (and they aren't the same). Very few cities offer babysitting education courses for their communities. Many families use the various nanny websites to find babysitters for their children for a variety of reasons: date night, occasional work days, or daily. I encourage all families to perform the appropriate background checks (local, state, and federal) before offering a babysitting job to anyone. It is important to have received and verified references as well. Be open and honest about surveillance as well. Below is an article about a babysitter education program offered in Seattle, WA. Great idea for a community project!!
