At a very young age, children learn how to provide parents 'the cries' to help them determine what's wrong with them. Typically, this is when parents say, 'the hungry cry, the gas cry, the sleepy cry, etc.' How do children become 'resilient?' And, being a 'too safe' parent does not guarantee resilience to be taught when it should, so that children won't grow up and face tough times, and not be able to handle those times.
