We've all seen them. Children that are forced to care for their own opioid addicted parents are forced to endure the misery of caring for their parents, at a time when they themselves need parents that are addicted to parenting them. The children have wandered into the streets, into shelters, but somtimes into the hands of dangerous individuals that truly don't care about their general welfare. About a year ago, when I reviewed an article about parents that were getting high with their children sitting in the backseat of the car. I originally thought that it was an isolated incident, later to learn that not only was it not an isolated incident, it was very common. If you or someone you know are in crisis, seek help. We never say never, knowing that each of us are, only a moment away from our own crisis. No judgements. Seek help!
