ECE Dilemma for Families

Helping families find early childhood services at affordable rates is difficult in all 50 states.  While there are extreme costs in some areas, an average weekly rate for child care throughout the country is between $200-350 per child.  Some businesses offer lesser fees for more children within the family, but others offer a small discount.  Offering high-quality care for children does come with quite a price tag.  The problem that I have pondered through the years is why all families in every state does not have the same peace that they have financially, after their children begin kindergarten.  While some states have opted to cover the early education of children at the age of 3-4 years old, many parents do not have the ability to afford care for their children without making significant adjustments to their household budgets and expenses.
